I S Fusion has successfully applied through the business growth programme for a twenty thousand pound grant to support the development and installation of a new generation dicing machine. The grant was finalised and the machine was delivered in January 2019. Commissioning took place over the following months and it is now fully operational within our production department, helping to meet demands and reduce lead times. The dicing machine is a one-off state of the art machine built to dice our surface mount fuses. It has driven down manufacturing costs, improved quality and tripled throughput allowing us to maintain a competitive edge with this unique fuse. Employment within the business has increased as a direct consequence of the acquisition of this machine.

The £33m Business Growth Programme, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund provides grant funding of between £10k-£167k to existing B2B SMEs located or moving into the Greater Birmingham and Solihull, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire and The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) areas.
