ISF003 AVX Based Range of Fuses

The ISF003 is a fully encapsulated, intrinsically safe surface-mount fuse based on AVX Accu-guard II technology. Built in a 0603 footprint and certified Ex ia for both mining and surface use (ATEX & IECEx), it operates at currents from 50 mA to 3 A and meets IEC 60127-3 standards. With low cold resistance and minimal voltage drop, it’s ideal for battery-powered and low-voltage circuits where space and compliance are critical. No additional encapsulation is needed for ATEX compliance.

ISF001 Range of Fuses

The ISF001 is a fully encapsulated surface-mount fuse designed around the 1206 package format, offering flexibility in donor fuse selection. Certified to ATEX and IECEx Ex ia standards for mining and surface use, it supports up to 3 A and is rated for −50°C to +93°C (up to 2 A) or +80°C (up to 3 A). This component-level certification removes the need for additional encapsulation and speeds up the IS compliance process. Common applications include pipeline instrumentation, intrinsically safe radios, and wireless transmitters.

ISF011 Barrier Network Fuses

The ISF011 is an intrinsically safe axial-leaded barrier network fuse, certified to ATEX and IECEx Ex ia standards for both mining and surface applications. Based on the Littelfuse 0242, it offers a 4000 A interrupting rating at 250 VAC/VDC and is available in current ratings from 50 mA to 250 mA. Suitable for use in associated apparatus (Ex [ia]), the ISF011 operates from −50°C to +93°C and requires no additional encapsulation for compliance – streamlining the intrinsic safety approval process.

ISF012 Quick Blow Fuse

The ISF012 is a low-voltage, axial-leaded fuse certified to ATEX and IECEx Ex ia standards for mining and surface applications. Based on the Littelfuse 0251 Picofuse, it offers a wide current range from 62 mA to 10 A, with a breaking capacity of 300 A DC and 50 A AC at 125 V. With no encapsulation required for compliance and ambient ratings up to +93°C (5 A), it’s a cost-effective solution for associated apparatus and intrinsically safe systems needing reliable, fast-acting protection.

ISF021 IEC Rated Radial Lead Fuses

The ISF021 is a radial-leaded fuse certified to ATEX and IECEx Ex ia standards, suitable for both mining and surface use. Available in time delay (slow blow) and quick blow variants, it offers current ratings from 40 mA to 6.3 A and complies with IEC 60127-3 and -4 standards. The ISF021 is socket-mountable for flexible installation and operates continuously at its full rated current. With an ambient range from −50°C to +93°C (up to 5 A), it’s a reliable and cost-effective solution for intrinsically safe circuits and associated apparatus.
